Following the resignation of Steven Yates, the Auckland Bowls Board has asked David Ball to take over as the Interim General Manager, pending the sourcing and appointment of a permanent replacement.

David was recently selected to join the Auckland Bowls Board as an Independent Board Member.  David spent most of his career within large corporate companies, in a range of Senior Financial Management & Accounting roles.  Although he has been retired for the last two years, he has agreed to step into this interim role to support Auckland Bowls and our bowling community.  We consider that he has a wealth of experience and expertise that is well suited to this position.  His priority will be to ensure that our ‘business as usual’ activities are effectively managed and maintained.

David is a keen lawn bowler and avid sports enthusiast. He has been a member of the Mount Wellington Bowling Club since he started bowling and also joined Carlton Cornwall as a playing member at the beginning of last season.
