Reps back in action

07 Dec 2017

The Auckland Representative Sides take to the green again this weekend.  On Saturday the 1-5 year and 1-8 year Men's and Women's sides play and on Sunday it is the turn of the Open squads.

All squads will take on North Harbour and Northland.  Unfortunately the Far North Centre are unable to field teams this season.  An invitation side has been put together for the fixture on Sunday to ensure all players get 3 games.

The 1-5 and 1-8 year competition is a continuation of the fixture held in October.  The 1-8 Year men take a nine point lead into the day and are in a strong position.  The 1-5 Year men are equal on points with North Harbour so have all to play for on Saturday.  Both men's sides will play at Browns Bay starting at 9am.

The 1-8 year women sit in second place two points behind Northland and the 1-5 year women are four points behind North Harbour also in second place.  Both sides will be looking for some improvements on the day to overturn the narrow points deficit.  These games will be played at Mairangi Bay.

It is a new competition for the Open Men and Women on Sunday at Browns Bay Bowling Club.  Starting at 9.30am they will play North Harbour and Northland as well as an Invitational side which is made up of Auckland and North Harbour players.

Good luck to all the Auckland sides over the weekend!
