Auckland Women's Final:

An excellent final between these two Carlton Cornwall teams! K Hema, C Bowman, J Wong, L Ralph ( Carlton Cornwall) started with a bang and took a big lead, they were ahead 13-2 in the 8th end and were looking strong. K de Jongh, B Crowe, H van der Walt, L Badenhorst (Carlton Cornwall) were struggling to get points on the board but it all turned around in the 9th end, from here de Jongh and her team couldn't do anything wrong and won the next 7 ends winning the game and the Auckland Women's Fours title for 2017-2018 - 20-13. Well done!

Auckland Men's Fours Semi Finals:

The first semi final between A Takarua S Hoeft, A Reed, P Aitken (Pt Chevalier) and D Prasad, J Kishore, G Hewett, F Filipo (Papatoetoe Hunters Corner) was a goodie. Pt Chevalier were first up on the board with a 3 and Papatoetoe HC were next with a 2 and so it went. In the 6th end Pt Chevalier were up 8-3 and Paptoetoe won the next 3 ends but couldn't quite close the gap. From the 10th end Pt Chevalier turned up the pressure and jumped further into the lead winning the game and their spot into the final 15-7.

In the second semi final we had 2 strong teams, M Bradshaw, P Mii, U Fusimalohi, T Heimuli (Onehunga & Districts) and S Boyce, P Stier, G Lintonbon, I Unkovich (Glen Eden). This was a real battle with both teams being strongly competitive! Onehunga & Districts held the lead the majority of the game but weren't going to underestimate Glen Eden who were never far behind. Glen Eden pushed but just couldn't get back the lead, Onehunga & Districts took the win 15-13. Congratulations.
