Auckland Bowls Staff Update
10 Jun 2016
Auckland Bowls has had changes in staff in recent times. At the end of April, Howard Sandler ended his role as Youth, Coaching and High Performance Manager after handing in his resignation. Howard gave great service to Auckland Bowls over a 10 year period and we wish him all the best for the future.
Shelley Hodgkinson requested a move to a part time role and following discussion this was accepted. Under the new agreement Shelley is no longer employed by Auckland Bowls but has been contracted back to complete specific tasks.
These tasks include working with the selected Partner Clubs as they work through the Club Check Assessment process to achieve or improve their bronze, silver or gold standards. Health and Safety, Casual Participation initiatives and relationship building with key partners are also included in the contract. Shelley remains the key contact for clubs around any of these issues.
To align our staff roles with the Strategic Plan we will soon begin recruitment for a Marketing Coordinator dedicated to regular marketing and promotional activities. This person will be responsible for the management and execution of projects and marketing campaigns (e.g. emails out to new members, updating databases, updating websites and social media pages, creating a content plan for social media pages, organising events, data analysis, etc.). The Marketing Coordinator will also work closely with and assist selected clubs with their own marketing initiatives.
The role is still in the development phase and more details will be released in the near future. At this stage we do not plan on a direct replacement for the role vacated by Howard.
The remaining staff of Phil Vyver, Mia Smith and Kristina Fry, continue in their existing roles and will pick up some additional tasks as required. We are working hard to ensure there is no impact to the services we provide during this transition phase.
If you have any questions or queries regarding this or any other areas relating to Auckland Bowls please contact General Manager, Phil Vyver on 623 3555 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
