Summer Interclub Report

26 Apr 2016

This season the Summer Inter Club was organised by Pakuranga Bowling Club.  There were 8 teams entered mainly from the Eastern Area. Competition was good and there were many very closely fought games.  Otahuhu Railway got out to a handy lead at the beginning and did not lose a game until the last round dropping both matches to Pakuranga.  Next year Pakuranga hope to run the same competition and would hope that Clubs from the Central and Western Areas will also run a competition with pay offs at the end of the event.

The handsome new trophy was presented to Ron Botica of Otahuhu Railway by Phil Vyver, General Manager of Auckland Bowls.

It was good to see Maraetai bowling in this event.  Their team was happy to travel to Pakuranga and provided some good competition.
