First Round of Post Section Played in the 1-5yr Singles

The first games of the day are now finished with Sheila Putu (Mt Wellington) having a great 1st game against Marissa Gough (Onehunga & Districts) winning 21-6.
Marion Hakaraia (Te Atatu Peninsula) also came out strong in her first game and beat her fellow Club mate Danielle Po'oi (Te Atatu Peninsula) 21-6.
Janine Young (Carlton Cornwall) played well and beat Robyn Reihana (Te Atatau Peninsula) 21-10
An excellent game of bowls was played between very new-comer Chelsea Farley (Balmoral Womens) and Paris Baker (Te Atatau Peninsula). Farley took the lead in the 9th end and held onto it to finish the game winning 21-18.
In the Mens 1-5yr Singles we had Aaron Lambly (East Tamaki) start the day strong to beat Mark Posa (St Heliers) 21-12
A great game was played between Ross Fraider (Pt Chev RSA) and Peter Blick (St Heliers). Fraider proving the stronger player on the day winning the game 21-18.
Jeremy Brosnan (Glen Eden) won his game convincingly against Paul Griffiths (Balmoral) 21-5.
Adam Allen (Glen Eden) also had a convincing win against Terence King (Otahuhu Railway) 21-5.
Odies Walters (Blamoral) had a real battle against Mike Smith (Avondale) with some great bowls being played. Walters nabbing the win in the 20th end with a 3, winning 21-16.
Corry Cotter (Pt Chevalier) proved too strong for Jim Gray (Mt Albert/Sandringham) winning the game 21-1.
Kaarem Al-Darra (Blockhouse Bay) had a very close, well-played, game against Adrian Nancekivell (Mt Albert/Sandringham). Nancekivell was in the lead until the last end, Al-Darra fought hard to stay in the game and chipped away to eventually win the in the 24th end 21-20.
Another well fought game was played between Jeremy Reynolds (Mt Albert/Sandringham)and Tuaine Pereeti (Bridge Park) with Reynolds taking the win 21-17.
