Ashton in action at World Indoor

13 Jan 2016

New Zealand PBA number three Rob Ashton from Auckland (Carlton Cornwall) takes to the blue carpet at the Potter's Leisure Resort in Norfolk, England 11pm Wednesday evening NZ time.  He plays in the opening round of the Just Retirement World Indoor Championship Singles facing World number nine Stewart Anderson from Scotland.

This is Ashton's second appearance on the World Bowls Tour in successive seasons having lost to the rampant Nicky Brett in last season's Scottish International Singles.

Ashton also made his debut this year in the annual PBA Trans-Tasman Challenge against Australia at the Cabramatta club in Sydney.

Anderson has played a kiwi once before accounting for Stephen Zino in the Scottish event in Perth in 2013. Live coverage will be available at World Bowls Tour.
