Mouton and Ralph Leading Charge

20 Jun 2014

Auckland 2 - 4 - 2 Mixed Pairs winners Scott Mouton and Linda Ralph are leading the charge in the National Club Championships Finals being played in Dunedin at present.

Yesterday they beat the Balclutha pair of Tony Cook and Christine king 16-13 to take the first points. Their second game against Wellington's Tim and Nicole Toomey was also won by 21-13.

The final game for yesterday was against Bay of Plenty's Robbie Aitken and Melva Clark and again Mouton and Ralph lead the way with a 14 -9 scoreline.

Finishing the day also with three wins were Taradale' s Bruce and Colleen Ferrick - the team that Mouton and Ralph will play in the final round today.

Their first game this morning is against Murray Scott and Colleen Earl of Nelson who have only won one game yesterday.

At this stage Mouton and Ralph are sitting on three wins +16 with the Ferricks on three wins +8.

It looks like the decider could be the final round against the Ferricks.

We wish Scott and Linda the very best for today's two games.

Stop Press: Mouton and Ralph have cleaned out their first opponents this morning winning 28-9 to have a 8 pts +34. With the Ferricks going down this morning to  Balcluths they are going to need a very large win to beat the Auckland pair.
